Рецензии: Another find brought to me via MST3k. This version of Sinbad has a Russian Sinbad running around looking for a bird of happiness so that he can bring happiness to the people of this village. The movie looks like a lot of effort went into it but is way too gimmicky and corny to be taken seriously. The special effects aren't that special either, especially the underwater scenes (how come water isn't wet under water?-Tom Servo). The color is also a problem as it is brilliant and garish in some spots and increasingly drab in others. Sinbad himself is the original Mitchell in a way as he fumbles his way through his episodes and comes off as the ultimate goof. One bright spot is the scenes where the crew is in India. The bird of happiness is decently manipulated (the woman is hiding in a shrub with her head sticking out when the bird is outside but it still looks ok) and the pageantry and spectacle of the situation looks very respectable. Otherwise, there's not much to Sinbad's adventures other than a fight with some vikings, the chess game in India and Sinbad's follies in Neptuneville. One of the funniest and most creative MST3k episodes.
